David plans to be in New Zealand from about the 18th to 25th of October as part of a more extensive visit to Australia and Singapore.

The main reason for his trip to New Zealand is to take part in the Education Leaders Forum in Christchurch on 22-23 October. It looks a great event (more after the break ...)

The Education Leaders Forum 08 (ELF 08) will build on last year's inaugural Forum, a ground-breaking event for key people from across the education and training spectrum.

ELF 07 explored how different parts of the learning system can better collaborate and be more responsive to changing needs in a world where new media have shrunk physical distance and transformed the way people learn, work and play.

Participants in ELF 08 will gain fresh perspectives in a stunning high country setting. A web-based forum enables continuing dialogue.

Lyall Lukey is David's host in New Zealand and is arranging other meetings and events for him in Wellington and Auckland.
