The New Zealand Knowledge Management Network is pleased once again to present Dave Snowden for his session on "An update on Sensemaker(R) 3.0".

David Snowden is the founder and Chief Scientific Officer of Cognitive Edge. His work is in the area of naturalizing sense-making, seeking to base social science research and practice in the natural science. He is considered to be a pioneer in the application of complex adaptive systems theory to a range of social issues and in the development of narrative as a research method. Cognitive Edge is an independent organisation that manages an open source approach to consultancy method as well as software development and research.

The Cognitive Edge SenseMaker® Software Suite provides a set of tools designed to enable informed decision making in organisations using both structured and unstructured data in a common environment. The Suite is fully integrated with a coherent body of formal methods is the outcome of several years of research into human based organizational complexity, sensemaking, decision making, knowledge sharing and narrative.
